Whenever I miss Boston....


I make Boston Baked Beans in the slow cooker.

Ingredients: 2 pounds of navy beans 1 large onion, chopped 1/2 cup molasses 1/3 cup ketchup 2 Tablespoons maple syrup 3 cloves garlic, diced into small pieces 2 teaspoons dry mustard 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce 1-1/2 cups water 1/2 pound bacon

Preparation: Soak beans in water overnight and drain. Brown bacon in a frying pan, then cut it up into small pieces. Mix all ingredients in a large crock pot. Cook on a low heat setting for 10 to 12 hours. Be patient....
